The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer is a good movie because there are courtroom scenes. However, the writing is fairly terrible and the story is surprisingly boring. There is a bunch of noise about the morality of being a defense attorney versus prosecutor, but it is not very thoughtful or interesting. Laurence Mason's character seems somewhat offensive. William H. Macy is the best part of the movie. In short, and despite Marisa Tomei being in the movie, a B at best.

  1. I read half of the book The Lincoln Lawyer, and I really enjoyed it. On every page I felt I learned an interesting tidbit about criminal procedure. There were lots of great details about Los Angeles, and I like stories where people drive around doing errands. McConaughey's voice was perfect for the narrator. But then I went to see the movie to find out how the story ended. I liked it a little more than Mattpod - I'd say it was a solid B. But all the interesting details had been pulled out.

  2. You accidentally misspelled "although" as "because." Or else you wrote "courtroom scenes" when you meant "humorous misadventures relating to time travel."
